A few people have referred me to Vivaldi, which I have now downloaded. But when discussing this in privacy-focused circles, I'm immediately met with criticism of Opera being owned by the Chinese, tracking your activity, people saying "Please stop using Opera immediately", and the like. Last week I switched back to Opera GX and it feels so darn good, I missed so many little features. I used Opera GX quite a few years ago, but then when Brave started gaining popularity I went down a privacy rabbit hole and switched to Brave for the past 3 years.

Vivaldi is not insecure, and is your best choice if you liked the features of Opera GX and has more to offer than that browser. Try testing with a new user profile with no custom settings and also try flushing the app's cache. Currently using Vivaldi for customisation and privacy reason. Vivaldi is available for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS. Edge is really good browser and I prefer it over chrome. Some tech savy people even say that having a browser portfolio is beneficial as well, you do certain thing in one browser and other things in another, thus dispersing privacy realted risks.Vivaldi is a web browser for power users that is fast, rich in functionality, flexible and puts the user first. Give all of them a try and after a couple of weeks you will feel which suits you most.

I have all three browsers pinned to my taskbar, and I use whichever I feel like using. Still, many consider Vivaldi to be safe to use too. So for me these are the practical elements, if you take privacy into consideration, Brave and Firefox are the best, Vivaldi is based on open source Chromium but the UI is closed source. I find Firefox's font rendering and scrolling to be smoother. However, when it comes to reading articles, I prefer Firefox. It handles Youtube and streaming very well. If you want Open Source, Firefox is a good browser, and is also very privacy respecting, especially if you force https on all pages and use ublock origin. If you want something close to Opera Vivaldi is also based out of Norway, but is proprietary. Brave is fast (not Edge fast, but still one of the fastest) without all the Google stuff, I switched off all Brave Rewards and crypto stuff as well. The CCP is not known for being very privacy respecting.

For my main browser I still jump between Brave and Firefox. If Vivaldi had the speed of Edge, that would be my everyday browser. In this article, we are going to see Opera GX vs Opera and see which you should use and why. I previously used it for work or for university, in scenarios when I have many tabs open. I actually use many of its features, tab tiling being my favorite. Coming back to your question, I would place Vivaldi over Brave and Firefox if it was faster. Apparently online streaming (Netflix, HBO Max) is best on Edge as well. I just started to experiment with Edge and it tops all three in terms of rendering speed.
